It's that time of year again for Michael and Anne Marie Moore's annual birthday bash. It has been a time-honored tradition for the past 18 years. While you can look forward to all the best parts of the party you've come to expect, this year also adds some new excitement and interest. Don't Miss It!

2008 brings sporting back to the event! Those silly enough to have attended this event for over 5 years will recall the annual croquet tournament that had been part of the party since 1990. Due partially to the more difficult terrain since we moved to the farm, and due mostly to our decreasing attention span, the croquet tournament was discontinued after 2002. This year, following a nationwide trend that has brought it from hillbilly trailer parks, to college campuses, and finally to otherwise civilized people, everyone is invited to join in our first annual cornholing competition!

If you've never tried cornholing, here's your chance to give it a try. You'll need to find a cornholing partner... solo cornhole will be considered practice and will not score for competition... but it's never too late to pair up for cornholing. Hone your skills at getting it in the hole at our practice area, then hook up with a cornhole partner for a chance to go all the way... to the final round and win the grand prize... a "Cornstar" T-Shirt!. We'll provide the cornholing gear, in case neither you or your partner are properly equipped. However, if you'd like to bring your own equipment, please measure it to be sure it is 6 inches, as required by the Official Rules of Cornhole. Equipment measuring 4 inches will not be sufficient. Most of all, just loosen up, don't worry about scoring, and enjoy cornholing with a partner!

You and your family or friends are especially invited to enjoy our scenic farm, fine food, great cake, potent beverages, and the newest game. Help us celebrate this fine occasion on...

Saturday, June 21 at 4:00pm

The party will feature, by tradition, burnt hamburgers, other tasty and vegetarian-friendly dishes (perhaps even tossed salad), Metropol chocolate cake, microbrews, drinks, music, people you know, people you should meet, and more!

This event comes only once a year and we hope to see you there. Birthday celebrations will begin at 4:00 and continue until dusk at Michael and Anne Marie's house at 24745 Warthen Rd in Elmira. There is no need to bring gifts as everyone's presence will be their presents.
